Great Places to Ride

Hey everyone! Whats up? I am looking for a GREAT east coast place to ride on the ocean. This will be our first trip to the salt, and I want to get some great waves and have a good time! We have been lake riding for a looong time now and want to experience the ocean. We are in Atlanta, and want somewhere close to go for a long weekend. We are couch riders, but hooked on big air.....Again, we arent looking for 25" swells just yet, but nice wave to0 get some pretty big air.....Any suggestions?????

I was thinking Charleston???? I honestly dont know though. If it helps we are looking to go like May-June timeframe......Any help is appreciated!

Ponce inlet just south of Daytona is good for couches. Show up for the Daytona ride and you can ride Ponce to get your fix and then come watch the action at the ride and become a convert.

I know I know.......I love watching standups, and belive it or not I actually bought a js550 but got a bad taste in my mouth from it......dont get me wrong, I would love to get out on a newer stand up and give it another try, but for now Im on a couch......So any additional suggestions would be great.....Thanks

like is it worth a car ride from cali.
or should i stick to oceanside and ive been to miami b4

No, it's not worth driving IMO. I'd fly over for the Daytona ride for a little vacation, but you've got plenty of waves in Cali. Surf isn't near as consistent in FL as it is on the west coast. We were very blessed last year at the ride with good surf, but it just as easily could have been smaller or too choppy.
