Installing shark fab o-ring head with new ADA orings
some posts say to use vaseline or grease to keep orings in place
some say use 1211 of yama/hondabond
which is best?

I use grease. If you use sealer, you'll need new o-rings and very thorough cleaning of the cylinder and head every time you pull the head because they'll be gooped up.

A lot of people believe in glueing everything...I've even seen people glue spark plug wires on the plugs and put glue on the fuel line connections. To each there own.

yeah, the previous motor builder sealed up EVERYTHING with gobs of sealer
It seemed like it took forever to get it all cleaned up.

Acetone works well to clean crankcase sealant off the metal parts but nitrile gloves don't last long and it really dries your skin out.

Chucky likes to 1211 the o-rings and the backside of domes where they contact the head shell to prevent vibration movement/wear...you can see slight wear spots on the head shell from movement. He knows his stuff...

I use white grease for all o-rings and seals, the secret on engines assembly is take a good cleaned and degreasing surface!!
