wow that hull is so much more fun then my 96 roundie... I felt like such a better rider, it turns so much nicer and you can really lean it over and carve! Does anyone know if the wamilton 08 hull is a copy of the sj hull but lighter?? I might try and get one, or look for a 08-09 hull...

I have a 96 round nose with tubbies if you want to try it out. I've never rode a round nose without them, so I don't really know how they compare.

really? I thought it was alot easier to ride. now I ride all flat water.. so maybe in the surf its different.
i think the steering is what really screwed me up. im used to a ski that can turn 180 in a couple foot radius without sliding. the new hull is really hard to slide with the deep chines and lack of throw. modified is a different story im sure. the one you rode have stock steering?

ya stock steering.. my 96 has modified steering, and ya with just a little turn of the bars, it turns real quick. my 96 defiantly slides easy. that 09 just stuck in turns.

The 08/09 SJ's are way better than the previous roundnose with tubbies. Roundnoses with tubbies are a great combo though, just cant top the new hull. Easy to ride, and I dont ever have a problem spinning one around or breaking it loose like the old hulls. Just spend some time on one and its just as easy as anything else, and you can still shred turns if you feel like it. A great combo in my eyes.

You have to ride the 09 aggressively to get everything out of its handling characteristics. If you ride it slow and try to turn tight forget it. If you are slamming turns it will turn really tight, Took me a few rides on Yamacat's 08 to get the turns down. For flat water, Stick wiht a pre 08. If you like to rip turns, the 08+ is good.

Stick with your Ski, you got a all round ski thats well built! If you want to carve put some tubbies on. I like #.0 set up, better than others & cheaper.

If you want a 08 Hull, my friend Lucas wants to sell his 08. Has fresh paint & looks sick.
