This is a Goki 550 Super starter motor I pulled off my 91 reed 550 when I sold it , at this point the chances of me ever building another 550 are extremely slim and if I do build one it will have a 650 -750 motor in it .
Goki was a company that made electric start kits for ATV's that did not come from the factory with electric start , but they also made these .
Back in the day the 550 starter motors sucked and rarely worked correctly , if you had high compression and a stock starter on a piston port 550 good luck , if you wanted a starter that would absolutely zing a 550 motor over you got one of these .
This one was on a reed valve 550 engine and it cranked before you could get your finger off the button so it is lightly used , I don't know how much they are worth because there are none out there for sale ever and most people don't even know about them.
I am throwing up a price , it's what I think it's worth or at least what it will take for me to let it go , if you want it buy it , if you think you can find one cheaper good luck , I personally have never seen a used one for sale anywhere before.
This will also fit my modified Seadoo 720 cover I fabbed up for the 720 powered X2 so for anything less than the asking price I will just keep it and use it on that.
One more thing I don't sell parts to make money , I sell parts to fund projects and buy more ski parts .
