GO Pro Question

Got a question for your guys who have used the Go Pro Hero camera. How do you mount it to your skis? Are you trusting the 3M adhesive patches with holding it when going thru water or are you using the suction cup to connect to the hulls?

I saw some vids of people doing re-enteries with these things and I am wondering how they keep the camera from popping off if I hit a wave or something rough.

Thanks,
Scottie

The suction cup will not stay on if you go under water. It's ok for just cruising around and jumping a little. Actually the suction cup part on my mount ripped off and I'm gonna try to use 3M automotive tape to stick it on my ski instead. If that doesn't work, I'm gonna have to make a mount to go in the bow eye and use the handlebar mount somehow.

I use a lanyard to tether mine. When it's on the nose of the ski, the tether is attached to my limiting rope. When its on my helmet, the tether is attached to the strap on my helmet.

I mounted the camera right by the gas cap on the nose of the ski and tethered it to the tow loop. Worked like charm. Thanks guys,

Scottie
