glue removal??

ok guys,

you will love this one i Attempted a blowsion hand hold install. got all the way to the last step and managed to get the plastic welder all over the hood. i have tried acetone goo gone and a razor blade it coming off slowly but in some spots the paint comes up with it. any suggestions on how to get the glue off cause it looks like crap and im very fustrated!!!!!!

The only thing you can use is heat! I would be surprised of any other way to remove melted plastic without ruining the existing surface sorry

the plastic isnt melted "plastic welder" is just the name of the epoxy i used. i need to remove the excess epoxy

There is nothing to remove that glue once it is cured. Its a 2 part catalyzed epoxy. Sand, or maybe chip, it off dude.

The paint on the stock blue hoods is notorious for coming up. I'd just leave it. If it really bothers you, sand the whole hood and re-paint it. The right way, unlike what yamaha did.

Cover it with a strip of turf as that shait ain't coming off without taking the paint with it.
