Clear coat? whats that,lol not on my flat black, that would make it too shiney! steve has use rattle can clear on some of his paint jobs. all paint is from Canadian tire automotive section except my flat black is from the cheap dutchman section 3.99 my ski has 1 can on it:biggrin: is that a record or what? actually steve convinced me to paint my ski bright yellow and he told me 1984 called so i did it but then when it was time for him to paint his ski bright pink he bailed on it so i grabbed a can of flat black and 10 minutes later it looked like it does in the pic

I just moved to Milton actually, about a year ago. I bought a house there but its not going to be built until May '07. I'm excited to get it so I can have a place to work on the POS square.

I'm rattle canning mine too. My freind and I just did a 1968 Snowcruiser with rattle can and bruch on tremclad. The finish is up to 1968 standards. Looks really good.

With proper prep and enough time, a rattle can job can look great. And cost you maybe 10 cans @ $5 a pop!

Anytime you guys come across a 701 let me know. Its a bitch to find good parts in Ontario without paying stupid prices. I was very close to having jetskikings Protec motor sent up, but I couldn't come up with any green. Still can't.

sweet i got a 1969 bombardier olimque with a 250cc motor that has the spark plug angled right at my forehead, everytime i rev it i squint hoping it doesn't ping me in the head, and yes it has a rattle can paintjob too. i know of two SN in ontario that aren't being used but can't get the guys to sell them.

My freind that I ride with in Bobcaygeon has a 1969 Olympique. Tore it all down, its going back together soon. Has been going back together for monthy, but you know how those go...
