Hello,
I am taking apart my engine to glass bead blast my engine. My flywheel cover and gasket didn't look to seal that well, and has a rusty /salt like look to it. Taking everything apart and trying to blast it to do a nice paint job on it.
1. Can I blast the flywheel (outside and inside)?
2. What is NOT recommended to blast?
I have never blasted an engine before so I'm going to guess not to do the domes, inside cylinder walls, pistons, basically anything that needs to be exact for engine performance.
3. Is head and manifold water jacket areas okay to blast as long as i wash and rinse them out well?
4. How about Gasket surfacing areas, like head to Cylinder, top and bottom half of the case?
Thanks Guys for taking time to read and all the input and help!
