Is it nessary to replace the case/cyl. gasket when installing a girdled head? Also ADA refers to a stud tool is that something i really need, if so where can i get it- local auto parts place?

Yep, what he said, assuming this is an ADA girdle kit.

18 for headbolts and 23 for the girdled studs...
If you're on 83mm or smaller bore, no worries about squish - unless your cyl is decked. No head gasket, that is correct.
Use some vaseline or bearing grease on the orings to hold them in place.
Disregard the torque recommendations ADA gives you. Torque the head bolts to 22ftlbs and the girdle nuts to 35 ftlbs.
