can the stock carb silencer be ran with an aftermarket girdle head. I was looking at my ski this morn and think that the girdle bolts would be in the way. how do you guys with girdle heads keep water out of your carbs when doing freestyle stuff. thanks

If you're running one or two single stock flame arrestors, you can rotate them 90 degrees, too.

matt....i am confused....i can rotate what 90 degrees?.....i might be confused on the terminology......i am pretty sure the bolt holes will not line up on my silencer if i rotate it.

wax...how much are the spacers and how thick are they.

thanks guys

You can rotate the entire FA on the carb top 90 degrees. (Only for 44's and stock single FA's!)

it looks like on your plates that you have 4 bolts that go into the carb tops. i am not positive but pretty sure that mine have only 3 bolts per carb...stock dual 38's. correct me if i am wrong. i am afraid that that would keep me from rotating it 180 degrees.

matt.....i looked at your build thread and see your silencers are two separate ones.....maybe that would work for me......i just have the one large silencer that covers both carbs. would those work on my carbs....where would be a good place to look. thanks

Those will not fit the dual 38's without some modification.
I think a spacer plate would work better for you.
It did for me - I used to run a stocker dual 38 setup with an ADA head.

i have a cool head and the reed spacer was not a cure for me, i ground off some of the plastic on the f/a

a little too much unfortunately, but she works just fine

intake spacer is on the way. hopefully that will bring it out far enough. i have read where now i may have a problem with the carbs rubbing against the exhaust tube though....hopefully that will not be a big deal.
