but the gulf sure seems to want me to sometimes ... it's been flat for over a week now, and summer promises months of it. i skimboard but that's getting boring too. so now it's time to add an engine to the mix!

Penguin ... I just had a thought ... are you planning on having the bonfire on the beach? If so, you might run into trouble with the sheriffs as those are illegal on the beach. Campfires are okay but not bonfires, and I've never seen a bonfire allowed to stay, especially when the beaches are crowded as they are now.
