the van idea sounds like it would work. is there any room in the front of the bass boat trailer to put the ski on it sideways if you built some bunks? or do what I do and build yourself a custom trailer!

Yeah a bass boat isnt a boat, its a rednecks raft.
With that aside.
Dude, fold the seats down and shove the ski in the back! I dont see why it wont work. At one point, I took out the back seat in my car, made a few measurements, and was fairly certain I could somehow squeeze my ski into my car if I took the front passenger seat out.
Then I put it on a trailer.

...When did you get a ski anyway?

I woulnd't like an arrangement where you had to launch the boat to get to the ski. You know what you will use more..

I have a Joe Hauler for my ski. Goes into a 2 in reciever and the ski sits across the back of the vehicle. I would say get on of these and then hook the boat to that. Mine is not set up that way right now but I have seen similar set ups. Your hitch would probably have to be at least a class IV hitch to handle the toung weight.

Another option: Bass boats are relatively open and flat, throw the ski in there till you get to the water. Get some thick carpet or something to put over the side of the boat sou you don't scratch off all that glitter that the fish seem to love.

Build a hitch hauler. I have hauled a tripple trailer with 2 seadoos and a sitdown on the trailer and then my ski on the hauler. I have had a hitch hauler for 6 years now adn have never had a problem. I wouldn't be afraid to pull a ski boat with my hauler.

Pull the boat back on the trailer so that the tongue weight is only like 20 or 30 pounds and just hook it up and go. You might need to put some spring helpers on the rear of the van to keep it from sagging. I sold my first hauler to a guy with a caravan and he says he hauls his pontoon and his standup to the lake.

SJ will fit in the van, you could easily do it with two guys, just think about where the ramp is. If its at a beach, no prob, but carrying an SJ up a algae covered concrete ramp is trouble waiting to happen. You could use the bass boat trailer to get the ski out though, and then transfer.

Well, you can either nut up, or shut up. My dad's the same way, and with reason, the first ski I picked up ran great on the trailer, but then turned out to have a clogged coolant system and carburetor problems. I coulda got it much cheaper. If you got some fleece cloths and a wetsuit, I'd go for it only if its a good deal.
