Gen 2 X2 vs Fix steer Sxr800

For what it's worth I believe Chris at C57 bought the X2 molds from Trinity (or whoever bought Trinity from Bobby way back when?). I'm curious to see how C57's hulls turnout. It'll be hard to match anything Bobby put together in terms of quality.

I personally have no idea what C57 racings background is in composites but I do know this , I hate to be on the receiving end of that learning curve , you might want to wait a bit till they figure it all out.

I made all of my mistakes learning on my skis way before I ever started doing repairs on customers skis .

Fixed steers are harder to board but easier to ride than a standup. Especially so for old guys with bad backs, They can be made to turn good if you like playing with tubbies. Otherwise they aren't as much fun as a standup because its harder to get the nose up when you want to jump. Being able to adjust the steering fore and aft will make any fixed steer ski a lot more enjoyable for different conditions and rider sizes..

They are a blast to ride but they are defiantly an acquired taste , there will be a learning curve involved regardless if you are coming off of a Blaster , X2 or a pole ski , as Kevbo stated they can be quite tricky to reboard in deep water .

I don't believe out of all the people who have ridden my 650SX that I have ever seen anyone reboard it after falling off , they always came back in laying in the tray being drug behind the ski , it is flat decked though which makes things way more difficult .

The mx1 is more like a blaster than a x2 even a gen2. ive ridden a few fix steer skis such as a v2x, superjet with a fixsteer hood, and a air blair. out of those 3 i definitely liked the air blair fix steer ski the best. just mainly because the height of the bars was the most comfortable for me. i love riding x2s and none of the above feel like an x2.
