Those little white one way valves on one of the tanks nipples, are they necessary?? Let me know I cant find mine and I dont know what to do with that nipple!
they keep pressure in the tank which may or may not be important.
group k says it is important to keep pressure in the tank up
to maintain an entire system pressure up
to have sharp throttle response, especially on restarts.
I just figure if the gas tank is positive it cannot let water in.
Try the search tool . . . . :147:
Take your fuel pipe from the tank off the carbs and blow down the one way valve towards the tank - this will pressurise the tank and should clear any air lock.
Never had an airlock (thats probably not your problem) Just squirt some fuel in the air intakes and let the engine draw the fuel through once it fires.
Check filters (external and inside carbs) for blockages - this is prob your issue.
The factory valve keeps the right pressure in the tank by also venting and a certain psi so the tank doesnt explode if it got too got in the sun, not literally explode but you know what I mean.
