Gas stabilizer questions for 4 month old gas

My squarenose has sat for 4 months with slightly more than 1/2 a tank of gas in it. From a thread I posted last year I've learned that I should put stablizer in the tank.

Is there any particular brand that I should use? How much stablizer should I put in for the 2.5 gallons of pre-mixed gas already in there? And should I add the stablizer before or after I add fresh pre-mixed gas?

if its a heavily modded motor
pump out the gas, put it in the mower and run fresh
stock compression, top it off and run it!

Yes stabilizer only keeps fresh gas good it will not revive old dead gas.

X2. It will lose octane points over time. So if that was 93 and your motor needs 93, don't take a chance now.

last weekend i used the rest of a batch of mixed gas left over from last october.. worked like a champ. just run it, you'll be fine.

Hey Stan, the gas in my ski is the same gas from when Benny and I came down to Pismo. Weird that I haven't been in the water since then.

So I went out and rode today with the old gas. It ran like a champ, but when I pulled it out of the water and started it up it sounded like it was bogging up or stuttering. Normally it's more of a smooth brraaap.

I'm wonder if that's due to the old gas (there is about 1/4) left or something else or if I'm just over analyzing or over thinking it.
