FX1 STOCK PUMP QUESTION

I am not going to give away my mint FX1. I might just repower it into a flat water couch racer! It has stock 120 pump and a Skat 20/25 impeller. What is the max speed I can get with that pump / impeller configuration ? I had it at 42 MPH ish at 1 time. Thinking....TL, 2 gallon tank, Lithium battery and whatever else I can do to go light with having a 100% mint stock FX1 look out side.

didnt stock fx1's do like 51? I remember some discussion i was reading on pwc today and the fx1 was the fastest out of the box ski untill the octane

i think you might be propped to high for a stock motor I remember I pulled a 19-24 out of my fx1 when i started the pump swap and it was mild build with a pipe

It nots possible with that pump or pretty much any pump, well it may be with another pump but its going to a cubic amount of money and then your going to have to try and ride the thing. that's going to be hard enough in itself trying to hang on to a 65mph fx1

Around 50MPH a high speed get-off was always fun. The ski would go about 50 yards up the river. Yea lots of money lots of time, just wanted to see what max speed would be with this pump/impeller. @AAlamo is putting a Dasa 1100 in his FX1. Maybe I should still sell mine and fly out and ride his!

Has anyone ever seen a ski ( standup )with NOS? I know somebody in the Couch community has Been There Done That! LOL

Yeah there is a kiddo in our riding group who's dad fit his 550sx with a shot. I was mostly kidding BUT he is the exception.

I think you could do it but would have to have power and rpm to turn the prop. But after that you would have to modify the pump tunnel to allow more water to be able to be drawn into the pump.

You should leave it alone and keep it but focus your funds and money on your 50.

What about a 1200 triple motor out of a gp? It might fit, you would probably need a custom exhaust though. But it would be way too much for that pump. I've thought about putting a kawi 1100 motor in and make a fun buoy ski, but I don't like kawi parts enough to mess with it. Or like x2mafia said, save the trouble and put money elsewhere
