FX-1 fx1 d-cut rideplate help!

i d-cut my ride plate last season,loved it for the most part.in the surf only issue i have is sometimes i go to slash to lip of a wave and wind up slidin over it.in the lake it acts like a big block on ice.keeps you on your toes you turn and the next thing you know your goin backwards

plate was cut flush with hull then dcut


too much??

My ski seems squirlly even with a long finned plate, I thought about cutting it down but didn't want it to handle like garbage.
 
I did the same thing. Cut flush and then d -cut.

I love it in the surf. Keeps the nose up and turns on the face better.


but for flatwater not so much. I plan on switching out to a protec I picked up for flat water.
