FX1 Build

This is my first actual I guess you would call build. I'm still pretty new to the sport and absolutely love it! Bought this FX1 at the end of last season after I bought my first SN and picked it up for dirt cheap. It would seriously make you guys vomit if I told you what I give for it and the trailer. To be honest with you I was looking for a trailer and this just "happen" to come with it. It had been sitting for 3 years and didnt know what I was getting intowith it, but brought it home that day, changed the battery, fresh gas and X2Rags, X2Addict and I were on our way to the lake. So long story short, I decided to spend my money on it during the winter instead of my sn.

You would be amazed at how much extra glue is on that hull. Take a dremel and shave all that excess glue off. Weigh it, I am sure it will be a few pounds.

Really stoked on that green!

Any pics with the hood on and of your fuel tank?

Not yet.. I just got the top deck painted saturday and had to work my butt off to get that finished. I'm not planning on doing any hood mods right now or anything and still have yet to finish my tank. I was just pumped to get this thing paint!!! I'm ready to be back in the water!!

Any of you guys have any ideas about my tank.....? Whats the best way to go about that?

As far as the hood goes, X2Rags and I were talking last night, I'm thinking about when I get time cutting out the fire extinguisher holder and smoothing over the top of it...

It is really difficult to use the Yamaha filler on the FX1 gas tank. All you need is a small filler. Mine is off a polaris, I will post pics of my tank tomorrow morning.

Good deal man! I have been thinking the easyiest way to go about it. Read some threads on here last night how to do it but still not decided on it. Tried to finish painting my hood last night and my gun decided to take a dump. :censored: Guess thats what you get for China made B.S!!!!:usa:

You can kind of see what I did. I just used a small polaris filler and screwed it into the tank as well as put a heavy coat of 5200 between the neck and the tank to be assured that no gas would ever leak.

Finally got some turf on this thing after a couple week break. (work sucks)
This was my first turf job period so X2addict helped me out on it and I can't complain how it turned out. Think we were both amazed! :Banane01:
Skipped all the foaming pics and fiberglass work cause I think you guys have seen that before. This thing is getting close to hitting the water SOON!!!! Just got to turf my rails, chinpad and a few more odds and ends!!
