fx-1 reinforcement question

i cracked my hull last weekend in pismo and figured its time to rienforce. i just took my motor out (and no i didnt find the small bolt i was looking for in my black hole, but i did find a bigger one which i have no idea where it came from) and will probably start to lay some fiberglass tomorrow. i was just wondering if there is anything else i should do while i have the motor out since i dont want to have to do this again soon. does anyone glass over those plates that the motor mounts are bolted to on the fx-1's? should those be reinforced or will the mount break before that bond breaks?

Ive heard stories of guys having those plates break loose but mine are good I had thought of glassing them in somehow just a thought

I have never heard of the plates comming out, however, I glassed mine in. On the edges, I ground them down and continued the glass from the side of the ski over the plates and down to the center.
