FX-1 FX-1 midshafts???

My friend has a stripped out midshaft on his Fx-1.

Are they the same length as a SJ or any other model Yamaha? Or do they have their own special FX-1 length?

I actually didn't know they had midshafts, But then i started thinkn, im running a 650 pump with a 900zxi shaft. Don't fx1's just use a shaft and bearing housing?

Well yeah with your 650 pump you have one long driveshaft, no midshaft.

Yes the FX has the same midshaft style at the 94+ SUperjet as far as the midhshaft housing anyways.. Still not sure of the midshaft length. That is what I'm trying to find out.

Guess I'll go compare some part numbers real quick and see what I can find...

The fx1 midshaft is shorter than the midshaft on my 2000 SJ. The housing appears to be the same size and same bolt hole locations, but FX1 shaft is shorter.

Ya, i found out that it is shorter, like about 3/4 inch that a SJ midshaft.
