What is everyone using for impellers on there ???

My FX-1 has a SOLAS YC-2C-J 18-24 impeller!!

what is this good for??? Low end, high end, both ???

Kawi pump swap time! Im doing mine as I speak. About $200 in parts not including aftermarket impeller. My stock pump was shot, the vanes were burnt up.

Ours has a 19/24 in it but it cavitates worse than a slow kid with a twisty straw in chocolate milk.

Try gluing everything together with silicone. My buddys had a bad cavation problem we even send the impeller back to Impros thinking it was the impeller. But we finally tracked it down to an air leak. Every nook and cranney the pump shoe, pump, rideplate everything is glued and it's perfect now.

All FX1 props are for top speed. No impeller was ever made flat enough to prime well at low speed. The FX1 pump does not match the 701s RPM range. A Kawasaki 650 pump works ok with the stock inlet. The larger Superjet pump is best if the inlet is also made larger.

Any prop you put in an FX-1 will give the ski better bottom end. But it will also give it more speed because of the efficient design over the stock aluminum one.

If you want low end switch pumps out or call Impros and have Dave pitch you a low end prop. A "freestyle" prop from Dave will give the ski all the low end possible until you start upgrading the motor. Then it is time for a new pump.
