Has anyone put anFX-1 gas tank in a SJ hull? Does it fit? Can you post a picture or two? I'm trying to gain some clearance for my B-pipe. Ands be able to move it away from the wall a bit.

brraap....thats so 2002
do you have one? i was wondering how they compare side by side. i dont think mounting would be an issue, they put those go kart tanks in there all the time.

i just bought one for my sj, couldn't get it to work. it's shorter on the motor side, but deeper on the waterbox side. still won't push far enough ahead to fit right. You would have better luck melting and reshaping your current sj tank.

I tried melting and reshaping my gas tank with a heat gun, it didn't work too well, it was a total PITA.

The FX-1 tank is tiny, like 3.8 gallons, it goes fast.

Joe, ask charles when you see him about melting and reshaping the tank how you want it. Did mine, easy as pie.

Not a smart move considering you'll have residual gas vapor in the tank. Can you say boom:bigeyes:

I was assuming that whoever would try it would do so on either a new tank or one that has been allowed to vent out ALL of the fumes. Please, no one try this on a tank with gas still in it and then blame me when your house looks like the one in the picture.

Even a tank that's completely vented can still have residual fumes. I stay far far away from that stuff.
