Funny mural (jetski related)

No like winter
Took these pictures at work last week; was out inspecting this bridge and taking a look at the columns of the approach spans when I found this gem. Each column had a sports action figure mural painted on it...

RT 1 over the Schuylkill River, Philadelphia PA.

I love the plume of black smoke

Is that supposed to be a plume of smoke or some kind of graphic? A little hard to tell, that's a little "folk" arty.

Definitely smoke, its coming from what looks to be a black hose which would have been the stock exhaust.

Could you tell in person? It's difficult to tell from the pics. I started to assume it's that age ski. but the front of the ski where the handlepole attaches doesn't look like an old front exhaust ski (440, 550, etc). That's why I was wondering if they were actually trying to show a black exhaust hose and smoke or just bad graphics of some sort. The "folky" aspect makes it difficult to be certain (at least from the pics).

I thought it was a bad graphics, not smoke.

If it was smoke, my thoughts are the exhaust is on the wrong side. My '89 js550 has the exhaust on the right hand side, looking forward.

EDIT: I'd say it was my 550, if it wasn't for the different paint job and the exhaust on the wrong side.

one of my friends stripped bare and painted a 550 then put can lights in the bottom and rope lights around under the rail and has it hung over his pool table it looks pretty sweet

it is definitely a 550/440 ski. the early 80's skis had the "elephant" exhaust hose coming out of the left front of the ski where that smoke line starts in the mural. the 86-90's had the front right exhaust and the 91-95 had rear exhaust. :smokin:

Makes sense now.:silly:

I found who it's a mural of. Looks just like him. Except for the wetsuit.
