fuel/water separator - trying to decide to keep/or not....

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
I am debating whether to put the fuel/water separator back in the ski or not.... i had to rip it off during all the reinforcing.... It will not go back where it was originally due to the more contoured shape under the hoodlip after reinforcing....

I will still be using the stock fuel filter which will help keep a little water out of the engine.

I see some guys that just put the little check valve on a 1-2" piece of fuel hose attached to the tank, and just leave the check valve sticking up in the air by itself.... does this work well? want my tank to be vented, but dont want water in it!!!

I am trying to figure out if there will be benefits of trying to reuse the old separator...

If some of you have reused it - where did you hang it? how did you mount it?

Thanks. -Eric Fox

I have not run one in 6 years. I leave about 2" of line just after the check valve, so it basically points up toward the hood.... never had a problem with water in my tank...

Pic?

Can someone post a pic of the setup? I want to do the same thing.

I have about 6 inches of hose off of the check valve and hook it under the left gas tank strap. I don't think it matters but that check valve is under water if the ski floats upside down for a few seconds being that close to the hood.
