You guys know how much water in my fuel it would take to make my engine miss-fire? I was hanging my lifejacket on a hook directly over my gas cans. Like any smart fella I drilled a vent hole in the can (new ventless 5 gal can) on the back and assume it was running in that hole. I have no other explanation for how my ski is running. It starts and idles great. It ran spectacular until I parked it for the last week. I gassed it up to ride yesterday and it would miss/cut-out for maybe a 1/2 second and then take off. Intermittently (about every 30 seconds) it would missfire, but pull like normal right after and then do it a again...and again. I'm gonna drain the tank and discard the fuel and refill with fresh, water free fuel and see if that fixes it.

I really don't think that would be enough water. It is probablly something else.

I don't know what else it could be. My throttle cable guide/adjuster,on the carb, was major loose (to the point it wasn't even in the mount bracket). I tightened that and for some reason it ran way better than initially when it wouldn't let me do anything other than idle. It would die as soon as I gave it even a smidge of throttle. After that it ran like I said in the first post. My battery connections are the only thing else that changed. I took my battery out to charge it (running a TL). I'm gonna put some quick disconnects from the battery to all my leads. I haven't rechecked those connections that I made when I put the batt back in, but I'm sure I tightened them good???? Any suggestions. Any way, could moisture/evaporation/humidity back down through the carb from the FA? I had quite a bit of H2O in the hull that I didn't empty from the last ride...about 9 days ago. It's been balls-hot around here (90+) for a week and there was lots of condensation inside the hull. My ski sets on a lift over the water and is always drenched in humidity/water vapor evap.

See if you have water in the bottom of the fuel filter.
Don't discard all the gas in the tank, the water is at the very bottom, if any.
Leave the hood latch open and rest the rear of the hood on it to let moisture out.
