fuel pickup

is it normal for the stock fuel pickup to be a pos?
noticed that everytime the ski lays onto the left the motor dies immidiately. on the right it will stay running for a bit if i got the throttle on more than idle. leaving it on reserve helps a little, so im thinking its normal.
any mod i can do or part i can make(im a cnc machinist) that will keep her running?

I cant see think the motor dying when flipped on its side being caused by the fuel pickups. Im not an expert, but I'd assume that there is enough fuel in the hoses to keep it running for a bit. Maybe you have a leak in your tank, or it's a carb issue, or you are sucking up water?

Mine will run for quite some time when on its side

Sounds like a carb issue to me. I was having a similar issue on a motor I am now putting in my square build. I am having the carbs rebuilt right now. We'll see if these alleviates the problem.

i did rebuild the carbs and i might have put the ******** back together wrong. i dont think i did, but idk anything about that type of carb with the pulse and bladder whatnot.
possibility?
