Other Fuel Line Length / Draping

I just refurbed my guest ski (WR3) and replaced the fuel lines but estimated a little short on length.
The new lines drape down to about the base of the carb, the OEM draped below the intake manifold.
I assume there is a reason for them to hang down; how much is enough? I am getting ready to do the Superjet soon and want to get it right.

Pressurized system, does not matter how far they drape other than looking sloppy and possibly rubbing on other items in the bilge.

exactly. mine go straight across from the tank to carb, no droop. my return does a weird loop cause im lazy on cutting it short.
