Hey everyone! I search and couldn't find what i needed... My question is how should the fuel line be hooked up for dual fuel pump carbs? Its on a 98' SJ.

Here's how its hooked up now:

The reserve line coming of the selector switch should not be teed to the carb. It needs to go straight to the reserve pickup on the tank. The out line from the selector switch should be teed to both carb fuel inlets.
Personally, I would ditch the switch and run one dedicated fuel line to each carb. Make sure both on and reserve pickups are the same length and use one for each carb.

Sorry, the 5 sided block in your pic looks like a Mikuni remote mount pump and is throwing me off... Try this...

Ya i knew from factory it didn't have the Y fitting in there, but if it was hook up like it was from factory i don't know if there would be enough fuel to feed the dual fuel pumps on SBN 44's. The only thing i don't like about straight hookup is i loose reserve which has saved me once, but i guess i could just stop and check fuel every now and then.

Reserve is very good, I still don't like the idea of running without it but whatcha gonna do, dual carbs need their fuel? :dunno:

How do you make sure your B-flies are in sync? I have a synchronizer for motorcycles which works off vacuum but i don't think these ski have a vacuum hook up.. do they make a special tool? and can you answer post #7 thanks

Unless your carbs lack internal restrictors (some aftermarket carbs don't have them) you don't need a restrictor in the return line.
To synch the carbs, make sure the butterfly positions match. It's pretty simple.

I do get some fuel running back to the tank, how do i know if i need a restrictor? I had the carbs off and i just sync the butterflies by eyeball and i didn't know if that's good enough?

What carbs are they?
To synch, I back the idle adjuster all the way out, then make sure the slave carb butterfly is also closed 100%
