Custom/Hybrid Fuel cell pickups

I bought a Jaz 3 gallon fuel cell for my build and I'm wondering why it seems nobody uses the bottom fittings on the tank for the feed? It seems everyone runs the pickup tubes on the top of the tank. Were people havig problems using the bottom fittings for the feed?

I had a RCI fuel cell (very similar to Jaz)
I used the bottom pick-ups and had no problems.

Except for when we pulled your tank with fuel in it to change your bendix and gravity pushed the fuel out all over the place. Wouldn't happen with pickups in the top. Food for thought.

I've also ran a tank with fittings at the bottom without any ill effects
