Im in the process of making one right now, for my sq. I couldnt find one online that I liked. I never run my stocker full so Im thinking 2.5-3 gallons will be perfect.

PM x2addict, he just figured out how to make one from a cheap plastic gas jug like you find everywhere.

haha yup you guys get great surf in texas right????...........hey but what do i know??

no actually i forgot...with a light front end you can get your nose much higher than the rear when you jump out of the back of the wave which lets you stick your ass out farther as your locked into your footholds all the while without bending your knees at anytime while you ride..i refer to it as the dumper jumper...that is what you consider good surfriding right??? it also looks really good when you do that while pathetically attempting a reentry...you can throw the pole over your head for some extra style points :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

you ride a blaster aka the lamest ski ever made..please refrain from giving advise on surfriding...thank you

the advantages of a fuel cell is you don't need an excuse for not riding long...thats why most run them IMO

Mike, im glad to see your high.
Im not sure if I have ever heard someone ever say they cant ride long because they have a aftermarket fuel tank.
If someone on this board that has a aftermarket tank and does say that please speak up. Buler?? Buler??

I mainly am building my SQ a tank for the simple reason I do 90% surf riding.
Im going the path of less weight, easy access to waterbox, electrical to bottom of hand pole and stinger hose clamps. Not to mention that I can make one myself. I had my On-off switch electical line melt to my dtr waterbox once and I had to yank everything out just to see the problem.

I dont need 4.8 gallons of fuel in my SJ.

We have a lot in Texas but surf is not one of them.
I have been waiting for what we call good surf for weeks. You wouldn't even put you ski in the water.Thats why i drive across country to ride the real deal

Wyd.. What skinny said is true. However there are a few of us that live just 30 mins from the coast (galveston). I live on the bay and can look across the street and If I see good waves in the bay there are good waves at Galveston.

We get what we can. If we had surf like cali or Fl.. I would be calling in for work sick and show up the following day with a good sunburn.

Some of us went and rode the day Hurricane Gustaf came in. I think thats the largest surf I ever rode in.
