Frosty's '98 Freeride Superjet Rebuild

That thing thing is looking a little better than the day you picked it up from my house. Just to let you know, you'll have a single breather bracket arriving in about a week or so, thanks a ton for letting me borrow yours forever. Spring is coming, my ski is almost back together and I think I'm gonna go crazy if I don't ride soon. Later Frosty

very cool... and no problem bro... glad I had it for ya.

You put drain plugs in the rear of your ski right? If you did, what did you use and where did you pick them up from? I'm about to add two to my new hull and contemplating on what to use.

I didn't, but had planned to. I was going to go with what Mark44 used... brass fittings with brass plugs. they are small, and will fit down low in the chine. I have to get to the hardware store soon to pick some up.

I've been putting stuff off since my grandfather fell ill a few weeks back.

wow, what a list of parts. your ski is going to frickin rip with all those mods being in a lightened stock hull. good work on the hood too it looks real good. Steve used some nice plastic hull plugs that fit almost flush with the shortend part of his hull, i wish i used them instead of the brass ones which stick out a bit.

here's a sneak preview of the new LPW internal fuel filler I am running as well.

This is by far the nicest one i have ever seen.

hmmmmp, that is really nice with the fuel clunks and all. i think your right, that is the nicest filler you have seen, lol, Is that a fuel return on the side of it too. very nice. Steve got them in the plumbing section at canadian tire. they are 7/8" maybe 1" black thread in plugs with red rubber washers for sealing. he epoxied them in and threaded them back out somehow. nice smooth plugs. mine scare me.

nope, on the side is just a brass plug taped on incase you wanted to run a single fuel line instead of two.

I'll have to look around for some of those plugs too.

I just got back from dropping the ski off at the paint shop. should be complete next week. white bottom, KTM orange top, hood and nose, black pole.

a friend of mine owns a shop in Tonawanda, NY near the Grand Island bridges. Regan's Customs. He builds custom choppers, but also does auto, boat and some jetski painting. He's got a small shop with a brand new paint booth... mixes his own paint too.

I don't have a final number on the paint though, since he is going to do some finish work for me too... i'll let you know when it's done... which should be some time next week.

I can tell you that it will be sick looking... a total pro job for sure.

well, i just got back from my trip to Washington, D.C. and got the call from the painter... my ski is all ready for assembly. I will be headed up there in the AM to pick it up. Cannot wait to see it.

also, i finally brought my surfboard home after not seeing it for 4 years. It was shaped by a local shaper in Pensacola, FL - Stack Shapes is the name of the board... it's 6' 10". I can't wait to give it a go on the lake the next wavey day.

anyway, i'll have some pics posted up tomorrow night.
