I made my own "T" out of aluminum. I welded about 6 before I made one that was watertight and funcional. It was on of my fist attempts at welding aluminum. In the end I bought some caps and modified one with an air-tit so I could pressurize it and verify that it would work. I had to grind and re-weld the T I use several times, but it's worked for 2 years without issue. I personally don't find the extra noise annoying.
