Super Jet Frogzskin and Pro-K

I like to run my 701 SN underwater, or at least try tricks that get alot of water in the hull. We installed an Epic Scupper combined with a 500gph bilge that works great most of the time. The problem is i run an open element flame arrester (tau ceti or Pro-K) and sometime water splashes into the flame arrester and kills the engine. It always starts up, but it's hard on the starter to crank until it restarts (even after pulling the plugs).

So I tried wrapping the flame arrester with frogzskin using contact cement. It's too early to tell but it seemed to have kept the water out.

A regular outerwear would be better than frog skin . I put a frog skin on dash of ski and can pour water through it like its not even there . Complete joke that frog skins claims they wont pass water . Try pouring water through an outerwear .

I've been running ProK's without anything on them for three years. I rarely get water ingestion. Key is to keep water out of the bilge to begging with and/or at least route it away from the carbs

i tested the frogzskin before installing it by making a bowl out of it. I poured water in the bowl and it did not leak out... It was watertight.

I have a stock FA, but the ski seems to run better with the Pro-K so I was just looking for a solution. I might try an outerwear as well, but some of the guys I ride with say they don't work... Go figure.

If u continuously splash the outer wear w water it will hold the water on and restrict air flow causing you to run rich. Or at least it did w my SN. Stock fa is where it's at.
