Blaster Frogskinz

I removed the rear air snorkel to clear my dual 38's on my 1994 B1 and covered the hole with a Frogskinz. Dumped water right on top of the rear carb. Might be good for a vertical surface but for horizontal forget it, Anybody got any ideas how to get around this? What did Yamaha do with the 1996 B1's to clear the dual carbs?
 
What I did was reinstalled the top snorkel with small holes drilled at the base so water could escape. Dry as a bone and no lower snorkel interference. The frogskinz are a great thing, just not the greatest for horizontal mounting.
