freestyle pump cone

Ok, I have been doing some searching and have not found much and I am wondering what a cone would do for my setup. Also is there any difference between the different brands they all seem to be the same price? wetwolf, wamiltons, blowsion..

My current setup:

The BLowsion cone is a Wetwolf cone, AFAIK.

It's like shifting down a gear, noticeable but not a major difference. It lets your engine rev a little quicker to get into the powerband a little quicker.

Wet Wolf is the guy that originally made these up for everyone based on my suggestion, and he makes them for Blowsion.

Yeah, I had a buddy that used to run a Sato short cone in his 750 in the early/mid 90's, and I saw Malone running a flat blockoff plate in his SJ somewhere, and after seeing Wet Wolf's AAT, figured he was a perfect person to build them since he already had the dimensions/machining to make a cone fit our pumps. Also, we were modding the stock cones to make them shorter by chopping them and filling with J-B Weld so an aluminum version seemed much stronger plus better shape.

Its a matter of opinion I think. My son likes it over stock, I am un decided and a buddy doesn't like it at all. We have tried it in same pump same prop on 2 different boats against stock and got results above UNDECIDED. For the price its worth trying to see if you like it.

Think of it as another tuning tool, it just depends on your overall setup. You can go too far with nozzle boring or have too much torque for your current setup and start cavitating if you add the freestyle cone.

I added a modified stock cone to my setup with bored nozzle, lost bottom, but like Darin said, it all about the setup.

i sold all 3 of mine. the 750sx made a little difference . after trying the stock cone and wetwolf on my blaster . limited set up. stock bore on nozzle diddnt notice any difference. some will say different.

I loved mine. i also had a bored nozzle. I switched from stock to wetwolf a few times and there is a noticable difference.

when I switched from a 140 mag with a stock cone to a WW cone I lost about 7-8 up top and noticed a huge difference in low end....stock nozzle..
