Freestyle Motor

I wanted to hear some more answers to basic questions that i have heard many different answers too already. I only ride freestyle surf and want a good bottom hitting motor. Currently it is a 760, hot rod crank, fresh top end, ada head 185, B mod pipe, dual 44s, carbon reeds, 120 jet in water line to water box, spacer plate, MSD enhancer, RAD 2lb flywheel, front only exhaust, etc. I have not jetted the carbs yet from the stock pipe setup.

1. Advice on the carb jet settings and pop off would be appreciated.
2. Is the spacer plate good for anything other than prolonging reed life?
3. ADA domes are 35cc from my 701 (61x) ... is this bad?
4. What kind of porting is good for bottom (pics ?)
5. is a flow control valve better than a restrictor jet (120)?
6. is a static advance any good and where should it be set at?
7. why epoxy intake manifold corssover and intake on cases?
8. are full spectrum 47s too much for a surf boat? I could never get them tunned well on a 701 motor with the same setup :(

thanks in advance for the help....CARTER

Number 3 is very bad.
You will grenade the motor due to detonation if you run that. Those domes are good for 83.5mm bore size MAXIMUM (and even then the squish gets very small). You need 84mm domes.

Number 4 - who is doing your porting?

Number 6 - depends on the rest of your setup. What size domes will you run? What's your rev limit? What gas are you going to run?

Number 7 - improves signal to the carbs

Number 8 - IMHO, they are not too much. But I wouldn't try tuning them myself. I'd give full spectrum a call.

ok new domes it is..185psi again

i want ot do the porting. i work in a jet ski shop and a machine shop, and want ot start experimenting with cylinders.

i had full spec tell me what to run jet wise and pop off and etc. and got them running fairly well but for the money its not really worth it compared some boats ive felt with 38s that hit hard.

i havent seen my rev limit yet, but it is a stock setting MSD enhancer and i dont need super high rpms.

i can run 100 octane...or 110 and 93 mix full time.

#5 - i run both a jet works flow control valve and a 2.0 needle valve (minus the needle obviously) in my stinger line. keep the waterbox dry at idle and keeps just enough water flow while on the throttle to keep it cool.
