Super Jet FReestyle motor build questions

So First off I have a 98 superjet and lost the crank and cylendar. I want to build a 760 motor, I have had a 62t 760 cyl. on my shelf that I bought a few years ago for a suit down, and my question is can I use the 760, or would I be better off sleeving my 62t 701 cyl. To a 760 or should I find a 61x 701 and sleeving it to a 760. I cant find a solid answer on this topic, but from what I have read on the 62t 760 is that it doesnt work well for bottom end from th he exhaust port timing. Thanks for any help

It all depends on what you expect from throttle response and if you are willing to tune the pump. Higher ports make more power on the pipe and less below. Adjust the pump accordingly and you will probably find happiness. Unless you are spastic with the throttle.

The standard way to go would be 62T/64X cases with 61X/61XBB ( resleeved ) Cylinder....thsi si wgat everyone will preach..now

We built a 64X/64X (753cc at 84mm Bore)and had it ported for Freestyle, as well as timecerts inserted for exhaust manifold and hole bored to accomadate the Girdled head bolt.

It is running with B-pipe and MSd enhancer and a 10/16 Hooker , scoop intake etc and the performance is overall very impressive, It hits hard and has plenty bottom end, and i sometimes enjoy the less agressive torque over my 61x BB's.

It all will depend on how much money you are looking to spend, we chose a cheaper solution for this build, and if ported properly and matched with the right components and overall great engine !

If you don't have the funds for a 61X bigbore, look into getting a 61X professionally ported. You would be surprised how much power a ported 61X cylinder would make
