Freestyle kill switch....

even if it had a battery im sure it would last for at least a couple days of riding, and maybe develop a charger that would let you plug into the battery on the ski and let it charge off that when not riding, or a cig lighter from a car

What about instead of a Proxmity Switch, a remote kill switch. they have those for little kid ATVs and would work great. you fall off you hit the button the ski dies!

hey dieseltwitch your ski will circle around back to you by itself. you don't need to do anything but make sure your steering is in good shape and turns easily. go out and try it.

idle setting is hard to figure, need it up for hood tricks, want it down so it stalls. i had seaweed wrap around my throttle once. full speed trying to rip seaweed off in the surf with my kill switch zip tied. lanyard in the surf for me.

if someone has not posted it yet . sorry dont have time to read through all of them . open your ss switch assuming this is a yamaha . and the rubber cap where the stop sitch is there is a plastic hex remove that with some pliers and under that is a plastic white button clip it of and you will deativate the kill switch and reassemble .

^ That idea is sweet... :cool2: (the proximity kill)

But honestly guys, the last thing I think about when riding is the damn lanyard....

Get a new one and get over it.

The need for a WATERFROOF either remote or proximity kill switch is F*&^ING huge for Anyone/Anywhere who freestyles.. I have had 3(yes three) full blown freestyle skis take off at full throttle and crash into shorelines at 55mph plus, missing friends and sun tanners on two of them by just a few feet..The consiquences of a direct hit to a person would be PRISON for man sloughter and you would be F*&^ing BROKE after the lawsuits shred your life....WE NEED THIS MORE THAN COMPOSITE HULLS AND HP!! Even a remote switch on your vest or helmet would be great, just someway to kill the dam engine for when you snap your handpole bracket, or hand pole head set, or bars, or your carb return spring breaks when you wipe out, I have had them all personally happen to me, some when I was a racer and used a lanyard and some since I've been a hardcore Freestyler...A product like this could/would have a broad market range...If someone can figure out/develop a unit like this, I would be the first inline to purchase it!!! Here is a link to the closest thing I have found but it's not waterproof http://www.3built.com/RESProductinfo.as also I have seen recently some pro fishing boats with waterproof remotes to control steering/speed/trim on trolling engines:cool2: We need someone with some electronics know how to get just a lil creative...
