FR2 Pump shoe install question

Hey guys quick question about the pump shoe install, i have an oem pump shoe and was told just gluing it place will be fine is this true? I my rickter has the holes that line up with the pump show holes but the holes in the hull are not threaded.

They're not threaded because you use a self tapping screw. I drilled my aluminum shoe and hull and glued and screwed it in before I saw the thread that said glue only. But I've had zero issue. The shoe isn't going anywhere with 5200 all over it, but since you already have all the holes, might as well put screws in them.

5200 fast dry will hold that thing in place forever. Use stainless screws in the holes to hold it in place while the glue dries.

Whatever happened to using silicone for installing a shoe? Used it for years on 550's,etc

You can get the stainless screws from Home Depot
