Custom/Hybrid FR-2 EVO1 Sponsons question

Location

Hey Guys

I have just been lucky enough to buy a used evo from Pierre over in France. It is one of the earlier Evo's without the detachable sponsons at the rear of the ski.

My friends Evo has these and says it handles completely differently without them.

Pierre said he will get some sponsons free of charge which is great....I was just wondering if anyone has the same hull as me that can give me there opinions??

Cheers

I've rode mine with and without them. Without them straight line trackabiltiy is lost at about 25-30 mph, I think it definatly works better as a flatwater ski without them as you get more pop off a setup wake and its easier to break the tail loose. Without them = flatwaterish ski, with them = awesome all around/surf ski

Thanks for the reply dude. I'll have my sponsons soon, I'll have to drill the rail where they need to go which will be scary.
