after repeated removal of the FP head-pipe from my B1 I stripped out one of the three holes. the one nearest the engine has been repaired previously and I intend to repair the hole with time-serts.

I know i need the M10x1.25 kits but i am not sure what length insert. the kit comes with steel ones 16.2mm http://www.amazon.com/TIME-SERT-Metric-1-25-Part-1012/dp/B001JK0Z28/ref=pd_sim_auto_18

I would like to use stainless and amazon has 9,10,14 and 20mm inserts. Can anyone advise on which length to order as i am out of town. i,m gonna do both at the same time to strengthen for the future

Drill em out and go with 3/8-16 stainless helicoils and replace the bolts with standard 3/8 stainless allen heads. The bolts are cheap and the stainless helicoil threds are stronger then the cast alum
