Forward crank seal leak

This ski is the biggest POS I've ever had. I've been riding since mid march and the longest period I've gone without having to pull the engine has been two days of riding and the second usually gets cut short.

It's mostly been the exhaust pipe bolts rattling out now matter what I do. This time I found out that my total loss pickup plate rattled out and gouged up everything.

Well while the engine was out of the ski AGAIN, I decided to do a pressure test for sh*ts and giggles. 3 months ago it was perfect but now the front crank seal is leaking a little. I'll pump it up to 10 psi and then loose about 4-6 psi in 10 minutes.

My question is...Should I be really concerned with this leak? Obviously it'll have to be rebuilt fairly soon but since the season is just getting good, do I need to rebuild it now? Everything else is pretty good. It's just the seal right around the crank shaft.

You'll loose bottom end, throttle response, be harder to start, and won' run as consistent.....I change the seals on my Superjet 2x a season, it's like a topend rebuild if your seals leakk that bad.....oh, and it will eventually kill your motor.

Thanks for the response but the *&%$ are you doing to that motor to require 2 crank seal changes every season?!? This engine was rebuilt over 10 years ago and it's just now needing a change.

What the hell twice a season ??

use only genuine seals
The leaking seal at the front is not good and should be replaced
Im not sure about the losing throttle response etc its not like a real seal thats vented to air the front cover is sealed and so its going into a closed enviroment
