Something to ponder this weekend:
I'd like to see a reoccuring trend started where a moderator starts a topic, makes it a sticky for a given time, and that topic is then hashed out in depth until the time limit expires (maybe 2 or 3 weeks), then is unstickied and a new topic put up. This has been a great thing on other forums that I visit, a certain 4x4 site in particular. It is really a great help to noobs like me to get all of the information in one place. I have gone through the tech section of this site, and really, this would end up providing more in depth threads to post in the tech section.
As an example (and request), lets take fiberglassing or composites work in general. I'd like to see everything from a basic how to, to what materials and chemicals are available for which, to some finished products. Get as much information as possible on the topic. The title of the thread would read: TID: Composites. (where TID stands for topic in depth, or use TOTW for topic of the week, etc).
Any input? Requests? Dumb idea? Lets have it.
