? for those w/ XFT pole bracket...

I have an XFT pole bracket currently set up to use dual bolts...I haven't ridden it yet, but can tell that I won't like the feel and will want the spring back.

Anyone with this setup ever switch it over to use the OEM bolt and spring? Do the XFT bracket "uprights" need to be changed out or anything (since they have the hex recess for the bolt heads, and therefore also a thin support)?

Thanks!

XFT has a spacer to use when using a single bolt & pole spring that's ment to keep tension off the ears on the pole but... It's aluminum on a stainless bolt and will freeze up(had to cut mine off) You should be fine using oem bolt and spring but don't over tighten. I over tightened on a single bolt and cracked the pole. I've ridden a few years with a loose pole and no spring since cutting mine and it's not too heavy.

Thanks...I'm running a stock pole for right now, so I'm not sure if the spacer issue applies to me or not. With the stock bracket, I had the bolt tight w/ a spring and liked it, and so far haven't been able to get the dual bolt setup to feel right or stay consistent (w/o even riding). I just know that if I get a hold of Sergio to get the spacer I'm going to end up ordering a pole too! :)

Hmm...maybe I'll give it a try. I'm also thinking that I need to put some fender washers between the bracket uprights and the pole bushings to get a better pinch and lose the "rubber spring" feel I've got now. Worth a shot I guess...
