well nothing is better than glassed in holds, but you should know that. Sounds like ya got an sxr so ya dont wanna do anything real redneck, but ive heard of screwing and glueing in hockey pucks, you could find some rubber to screw in to add material, heck you could cut and shape a piece of wood to work real nice but I wouldnt do that. If you live near a surf or windsurf shop putting in some windsurf bindings is your best bet. Other than that, just jump the wakes and then get holds in the future. Ya dont wanna put holes into your ski that arent necessary and soak the foam.

I put mashers on my sxr. I fitted them to the tray, duct taped in place, drilled 8 holes in mashers/hull per side, took mashers back out, mixed a little epoxy. Used thin coat of epoxy on bottom flat part of mashers and then put in 8 pop rivets per side. Total time spent-30 minutes. Turfing over them is a beyotch!!! Cause I am anal bout my ski-it took me 3 hours to turf it, could do
another one in 2 hours total now.

when i first started riding surf I took a couple of pieces of EPP (the same foam they use for flotation in the stock handlepoles) and shaped them, then I just glued and duck taped them to the sides of the skis. they stuck out about 2 inches and were plenty big enough to wedge my feet under. Cheap, easy and temporary.

Thats a good idea, but when you say "duck taped them to the sides" do you mean for the installation, or you rode with the duck tape?

I really want a set of lifters for this weekend, but I am flat broke; I do have a stock handle pole at home I can steel the styrofoam from and slap some on there.

I have hit the double up wakes, you really need a permanent binding, the pressure is really strong when hitting the wakes........... I had my foot yanked out a few weeks ago.........
