Footholds: to do or not to do, that is the question.

Dan makes a good point about the skill level needed to benefit from holds. If someone riding your 650sx can't do what they want to do with wedges (or even a stock tray), they need to go buy their own ski.

You may want to do wedges on your superjet too. Foot holds would be better, but if you just need a quick step up for now, wedges are $30 and install in a few minutes. Ride the next day. Holds are $65 for the cheap ones, and require an install kit or other materials, plus all of the turf and etc. I've been riding for a few years with just wedges (I don't do anything spectacular however, I pretty much suck). They are probably all you need until you start inverting.

Don't cement to the turf. Cement to the hull.

Making some full length slots will make the ski much more comfortable to ride although they are no good for most tricks since your feet tend to slide.
