Freestyle Foothold Suggestions

Im in the process of putting my footholds on that I got in the mail the other day. I've seen most people put them about 16 or 17 inches back from the front of the tray. With the ones I got, digger from blowsion, I want to be able to mount them more towards the back and kick into the back of them on the ski instead of sliding my foot sideways into them. Any suggestions before I experiment!? Pics would be nice...

Most people actually have them way back, and many footholds don't give you a choice since they are designed to tuck around the rear of the gunwales. Blowsion Kickers are definitely like that, but I'm not sure about the Diggers. It's a different story in the surf, but from your avatar it looks like you are a flatwater rider, in which case back-is-good. Beware - it will feel WEIRD when you stand in them on the trailer - they will feel way too far back. But your ski rides nose-high in the water so it's a very different feeling from your garage test!

This is a very good point I have never heard mentioned before. I never thought of it that way, but it makes sense.

yea, i aprreciate the pic. Im just gonna mount them as far back as I can without having to cut into the back. And that'll be perfect with it feeling like its too far back on the trailer verses the water because I'm 6-5 so I'm looking to try and ride more leaning forward anyways. good point
