Foothold installation materials list

I am installing footholds in two Superjets. I am hoping to get some help on the following questions I have:
How much epoxy resin do I need to order for 2 jetskis? Is the medium hardener for the 635 THIN EPOXY SYSTEM the correct one? http://uscomposites.com/epoxy.html

What type of rivets should I use?
Countersunk Rivets
Rivets for fiberglass
Sealing Rivets

Is this the glue everyone uses? http://www.mcmaster.com/#3m-5200-adhesives/=6sy4qh

What kind of fiberglass, cloth or mat and how much is needed? I want to reinforce the tray.

How much foam would be needed for both skis? Current foam is dry and I only took out enough to fit the footholds.

Doesn't matter what resin you get as long as it's the thin resin. Either rivets or screws can be used, it just depends on which is easiest for you to use. I have plenty of protruding head rivets laying around and they clamp nicely so I always use those but either way the fasteners are really there to help hold it until you glass them in. Countersunk rivets are nice but completely unnecessary and extra work for something like this.

The amount of cloth and the type you need will depend entirely on how much you plan on reinforcing and where/what you're planning on doing. I personally don't glue the footholds in as a good fiberglass job should seal everything but additional glue should only help.

Do a search on defoam or polystyrene for your foaming questions. There are countless threads.

I would use the rivets on your las link. I used the 5200 tube from home depot that was recommended from reading on the X......damn strong. 1Qt of the 105 epoxy resin should do it but you may want to get a gallon just in case and its cheaper that way. If you have a WestMarine store near by you can pick it all up from there too. Half pint of the 205 hardener should also do it. Go with the 206 if your working in low temps or want more working time. I guess its recommended to use 10-14oz cloth but like mentioned above, it depends on how much you plan on reinforcing. Just make sure there are no air bubbles when you lay it up. Not sure on the foam...

I prefer to use epoxy thickened with cabosil to bond the footholds in, then rivet and glass over the edges while it is still wet. Everything then cures together to be super-strong. Definitely use the medium hardener since it gives plenty of working time - you don't want to be rushing this! Doesn't matter what kind of rivets you use - they'll be sealed over when you reinforce the join with a strip of glass all around the edge.
