Flywheel Holder Solution?

I do not have a flywheel holder to remove the flywheel from my SJ. Where is the best place to get one? Are there any alternative tools to remove the flywheel?

Thanks

I usually use an impact, but I have used the rope trick a few times with ZERO issues.

granted there are some people that fawk up an anvil with a pillow case, so I understand your sentiment.

I have resorted to the rope trick in the past. The idea makes me a little squeamish, but has anyone had any actual problems as a result?

i put a nickle between the fly wheel and the bendix............i herd that since the nickle is a softer metal.........it doesn't fauck it up hahaha.

i haven't had a problem...........

we used a rope on a buddy's ski. preeeeeety sure that's why the motor is now frozen. possible bent rod. dont do it.

yes, i think it has ruined some good ropes...I use an impact also with a auto zone harmonic B puller....a yamaha mechanic once told me that the rope trick could possibly twist a unwelded crank, but many have done it w/o issue...
