Flush valve cap

I guess the last time I had the ski out I didn't have the little yellow flush cap on very well because it's long gone now, I wouldn't think it would hurt the ski in any way to ride without this being covered a couple times until I get something to plug it with. Is there any reason I shouldn't leave it uncovered when I take it out tomorrow?

If the flush tube is actually hooked up to the cooling system it will be shooting water out of it when you ride....probable over heating issues??

I did actually notice some water coming from there last time, but wouldn't water continuously cycle through anyway? I'm gonna at least put some duct tape over it for tomorrow until I find something with the right threading to seal it.
